Ways to Get Involved
This is our club. This is your club. This means that your experience with the club is what you want it to be. Although the Bridge & Board leads the club, every member has the opportunity to participate and help build the club and continue to make it the fun and energized club it is today.
Event Committee – This is a committee of members that manage the entire year’s calendar. Some events require more assistance for set up than others. Your time and work in making these events a success if greatly appreciated and rewarding. Volunteers are always welcome, just let us know that you are interested in joining the committee. Contact ViceCommodore@npyc.com
Recruit new members – All members are responsible for helping grow the club by telling our friends, new and old. Members are not required to own a boat, but must have a great interest in boating and the community around boating. Contact Rearcommodore@npyc.com
The Skipper – All members are encouraged to provide content for the monthly newsletter, The Skipper. Although board members provide the majority of the content, any member can include a related article or ongoing content that the membership may find useful. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Provide Auction Items – for the annual Oktober fest and auction. Bring your items to be auctioned to raise money for the club.
Golf Tournament Sponsorship – this event has several opportunities to support the tournament; sponsor a hole, cocktail hour, provide item of value for the auction, establish a golf team and more.
Attend the events. There is a lot of energy put into creating and executing these events. We do it because it is fun and rewarding. Your participation will pay high dividends. Plus, why else join the club if you don’t benefit from having fun with the members.
Always feel free to contact the 2018 Bridge with any questions.
