2018 NYPC Annual Charity Golf Tournament
National Potomac Yacht Club (NYPC) participates in multiple philanthropic events throughout the year giving back to the community. For upcoming philanthropic events, please see our event calendar. The largest event the club participates in is the National Potomac Yacht Club Annual Charity Golf Tournament. Each year the proceeds go to an organization that is selected by NPYC members. The 2018 Annual Charity Golf Tournament proceeds will go to Potomac Riverkeeper Inc. Potomac Riverkeeper is the leading clean water advocate fighting to protect our nations rivers. The Organization stops pollution by mobilizing communities, applying political pressure and if necessary taking legal action - helping to keep our waters fishable, swimmable and drinkable. Saturday July 14
10:30am: Brunch & Registration
11:45am: Golf Tournament Tee off (Shotgun start)
6:00pm: Cocktail Hour
7:00pm: Dinner and Auction

Golfers - $200 pp
Price includes green Fees, cart, beer cart, goody bag, pool, brunch, cocktail hour and dinner. Teams of four will be matched.
Non-Golfers - $130 pp
Price includes pool, brunch, cocktail hour and dinner. Enjoy the pool and relax while others are playing golf.
Friday Night Dock BBQ. For those arriving by boat we will host a pot luck dinner on the dock. NPYC will provide the main dish/BBQ. Others are encouraged to bring a dish to share. Dinner will start at sunset and go into the night.
Brunch. If arriving by car, park at the club house. Golfers will receive their goody bags at this time.
Driving Range. Golfers are welcome to use the driving range located near the club house entrance prior to shotgun start.
Non-Golfers. After brunch non-golfers are free to relax on the club patio, go to the pool, or enjoy time on their boat. Golf carts for non-golfers to follow the golfers and to use for weekend transportation will be available to rent from a third party. Reservations must be made before Memorial Day. Details will be provided soon.
Golf Tournament. After brunch, golfers will make their way to their golf carts in front of the pro shop. The Golf Pro will review the rules of the best ball tournament and provide further instruction. Golfers are encouraged to invest in string and mulligans to enhance their chances of winning. Golfers will then make their way to their hole assignment. The tournament usually finishes around 5:00pm.
Beer Cart. A beer cart will be following the tournament players supplying free beer, soda and water. Wine and liquor will be available for purchase. Tipping is encouraged. A beverage station will also be available halfway through the course.
Conclusion of Play. When golfers are finished playing, they will make their way to the clubhouse to turn in game cards and enjoy the cocktail hour. Locker room and showers are available at the clubhouse.
Cocktail Hour. All drinks are included. Location is at the clubhouse.
Dinner & Auction. Entrée selections are made when registering. A live auction will start shortly after dinner, along with the awards ceremony. This is a fundraiser event, so please bring your checkbook! We need everyone’s support. In addition to the live auction, there will also be a silent auction along with other fun activities and a 50/50 raffle where you can win half the money raised.
